Welcome to LUI PEARL
My name is Aka Nkem and am the founder of Lui Pearl clothing line.
i was born and raised in Enugu,i had my primary-tertiary education here in Enugu. i studied nursing sciences at University of Nigeria Enugu campus,graduated this year,but i have a passion for Fashion and i'm recently applying for a fashion school to build up my carrier as a fashion designer.
About Lui Pearl
Lui Pearl started last year 2010 and since then its been growing from stage to stage. Basically when i started it was solely a female clothing company but now we have started making plans and designs for the male outfits too,both african inspired and apparels too.
Our outfits a mainly african inspired and our fabrics are of african origin we use a lot of ankara,damask,ashoke,cotten,lycra,chiffon and so on,to give our customers the best of what they deserve.
Inspiration
Am inspired by a lot of things,Nature music,friends anger etc,i try to channel my energy and my spare time into my designs and i try to make the most of it. Am a huge rock fan and i guess rock music has really inspired me to improve more in my sketches,i actually do have a particular outfit called 'the african rock chic'..hahaha,i love sketching in an outdoor environment,different colours of nature helps me with my colour combination and stuff plus the fresh air is also relaxing too..
